New Forensics Requirements

Starting in the 2020 - 2021 school year, Middleton Forensics will be implementing new category and attendance requirements along with clear deadlines.

Attendance Requirements:

• Mandatory practices

  • Starting in November

  • Three practices a month (At least)

Category Requirements:

• Everyone is required to try two separate categories

  • Novices are not required to double enter, just explore at least two categories

  • Congress does not count at a second category

• Limited Prep competitors have to try one nonlimited prep category

Deadlines:

No more writing and memorizing the night before

• Pieces must be done at least two practices before a tournament

• Pieces must be practiced, memorized, and shown to at least 1 leadership member before a tourney

  • It is highly encouraged to present in front of peers (virtually) to receive feedback

Leadership check-ins

• There will be regular check-ins with leadership to ensure everyone stays up to speed with their pieces

• With everything being virtual we find it even more important to have strong communication
